A SLICE OF SAUSALITO

Designed from the ground up, this new Sausalito residence is rooted in a deep connection to its site, lifestyle, and sweeping Bay views. The design approach balances modern restraint with natural warmth, creating a calm, understated vernacular that allows architecture and landscape to work in quiet dialogue.

The home was conceived to support an indoor–outdoor way of living, with spatial flow, light, and orientation guiding every design decision. Expansive openings frame views of the Bay while creating seamless transitions to exterior spaces, reinforcing a strong relationship between the built environment and the surrounding landscape.

Material choices and detailing emphasize subtlety and longevity, allowing the home to feel grounded in its coastal setting rather than imposed upon it. The result is a residence that reflects the clients’ lifestyle and love of the outdoors—one that feels intentional, personal, and deeply connected to place.
