PENINSULA TERRACE

With a vision to refresh the landscape while honoring its original character, TFLA approached the renovation as an opportunity to create continuity between past and present. Extending the warm tones of the existing travertine pool patio, new hardscape elements were introduced across a series of outdoor living spaces, bringing a clean, modern sensibility while preserving the home’s established palette.

In collaboration with TRG Architecture, the interior handrail language was thoughtfully carried into the outdoor environment, creating a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior spaces. Working alongside interior designer Jeffrey Schlarb, the gathering courtyard became a central moment within the renovation. Outdoor furnishings, including a fire pit and water feature, were carefully selected to align with the home’s overall design vision.

New lifestyle amenities, including a sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor shower, support both everyday living and entertaining. While retaining the owner’s beloved Iceberg roses, additional layered plantings were introduced to enrich depth and texture throughout the landscape.

Responding to the site’s natural downward slope, redesigned screening hedges enhance both privacy and spatial experience. Brought to life through the exceptional craftsmanship of general contractor Allwood Construction, the result is a landscape that feels both refreshed and cohesive — a retreat that gracefully bridges past and present.
